Rotate your site on a few Traffic Exchanges, most are free and effective at delivering traffic to your website, you probably wont make any sales or signups from this traffic but the visitors will help your search engine rankings.
OK, so you submitted your site to the search engines, uploaded a site map. What else can you do? Well first off, if you arrived for instance at an empty Auction site to sell your goods would you bother listing your items there ? No, probably not, so populate your site, make it look like its used ! Build inbound links, this takes effort but the payoff is great ! Good solid inbound links are one of the most important things you can do to boost the popularity of your website.
Give it time and your site will grow. Take a look at wowbids This is a new auction site and business is picking up, do a search for wowbids.net on Google and you will see the site beginning to collect inbound links.
Remember concentrate on a niche then expand as you grow, dont try to run before you can walk.
